Education Support
Empowering Learning. Opening Opportunities.
Overview
Creating Pathways Through Education
Education can open doors to opportunities that may otherwise remain out of reach.
PFEN Foundation works with children and communities to support learning, develop essential skills, and create opportunities for children to grow academically and personally.
Through educational outreach, learning support, literacy development, scholarships, and creative learning activities, we help children build the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to move forward.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, develop their abilities, and build a future filled with possibilities.
Our Mission
Making Learning More Accessible
Our goal is to help reduce barriers that prevent vulnerable children from accessing meaningful learning opportunities.
PFEN Foundation supports initiatives that promote literacy, communication, numeracy, creativity, personal development, and practical skills while creating an environment where children can discover and develop their potential.
We also work to connect children with opportunities that can support their continued education and development.
How It Works
From Access to Achievement
01 — IDENTIFY
We identify educational needs and barriers affecting children within the communities we serve.
02 — SUPPORT
We provide learning opportunities, educational outreach, skills development, and other forms of support based on identified needs.
03 — DEVELOP
We encourage children to build confidence, discover their talents, and strengthen skills that support their personal and educational growth.
04 — CREATE OPPORTUNITIES
We connect children with opportunities that can help them continue learning, develop their potential, and work towards a brighter future.
“Education does more than open a classroom door. It opens the possibility of a different future.”
— PFEN Foundation

Community Empowerment
Education Begins With Community
Sustainable educational development requires more than providing learning materials or conducting a single outreach.
PFEN Foundation works alongside communities to understand their needs, identify barriers, and create programmes that encourage meaningful participation.
By engaging children, families, schools, community members, and partners, we aim to create stronger support systems around education and child development.
When communities participate in creating opportunities for their children, the impact can go beyond the classroom.

Success Story
From Learning Under a Bridge to the Classroom
In 2024, PFEN Foundation conducted a six-week educational outreach programme for vulnerable out-of-school boys and girls living under Magboro Bridge in Ogun State.
The programme focused on basic English literacy, communication, and numeracy, giving participating children an opportunity to learn and develop foundational skills in an environment where access to formal education was limited.
For some participants, the programme also opened the door to something more — scholarships were secured to enable them to access formal education.
It was more than an educational outreach. It was an opportunity to begin a new chapter.
